From cameras to a connected control system

Construction-site security is not solved by adding another camera. The stronger model connects security leadership, AI-assisted video analysis, resilient field infrastructure and a response process that is owned, measured and verified.

The research describes a connected-security cohort of ISO 45001-certified contractors. Its reported indicators are observations from that cohort, not a guarantee that another project will achieve the same result.

Reported cohort observations

  • Crime and vandalism indicators declined by 80%.
  • Theft and inventory-loss indicators declined by at least 50%.
  • Lighting and remote voice-down resolved about 90% of suspicious unauthorized-presence events before physical intervention.
  • Remaining events were escalated to patrol or police under the site response plan.

The wider operating model

The same connected layer can support access control, PPE signals, license-plate recognition, warehouse and delivery controls, inspection evidence, public protection and third-party documentation. Resilient configurations can also continue operating during extended interruptions to mains power.
