ISO develops the standard and does not certify organizations. Independent certification bodies issue certificates. The Safe Builders Alliance verifies eligibility for membership; it does not issue ISO certification or act on ISO’s behalf.

Founding membership is designed for construction organizations with a current ISO 45001:2018 certificate issued by an independent certification body for relevant construction activity.
